We used this product on grass hoppers and it looks like a grass hopper apocalypse hit them. We live in North Central Texas and the grass hoppers were destroying all of our vegetation. Walking out through the yard created waves of grass hoppers. I used a 2 gallon sprayer and hit them early in the morning before they started moving. Did the tree's and property perimeter first. Then just did some passes up and down the yard. The only down side is we have dead grass hoppers every where. The first day of spraying our front porch was covered in them. I may switch over to the granular form next time and broadcast it more completely throughout the property and spray the trees only with solution. A friend of ours who operates a plant nursery has also purchased and used with great success! Great product!

I sprayed initially and got rid of the majority of fleas. It wasn't instant but it worked. Still had random ants though....... Waited 2 weeks and sprayed again. Seems to be doing the job. I'll definitely use it again.

Every since I have lived at my trailer, I have had problems with ant and bugs. At first I was hesitate to use to product, but the person who recommended it, knew what he was talking about. It went on easily. We only could find a time recently to put it on and it was a warm day. So the product dried quickly and I was able to bring the dog back home that night. They showed no sign of sickness from the Bifen IT. I will be happy to recommend anyone else who has bug problems like I did to buy it. I have kept your card and still have over half left over. The price was right and sent second day priority.

Our problem was Spiders and Cenepedes. Although the Cenepedes supposedly eat Spiders, it was annoying to see a Cenepede run acrossed the floor. I sprayed every part of the house at the part where the floor meets the wall. "Whole House" since sprayed, there has not been Any Cenepedes, Spiders or any other type of insect found living in the house. I plan on spaying again in about three more weeks just to make sure of no returns. And it is Oderless. Highly recommend this product

I can't comment on how good this is for termites and other pests, but this worked very well for mosquito control last summer and fall in Memphis. I went 3 weeks of nearly zero bites before having to respray. Occasional rain didn't seem to lessen the effect, and it didn't stain or discolor my siding. Be sure to spray under leaves on bushes, soffits, fence boards, etc as mosquitoes like anywhere there is shade. The better the coverage, the less mosquitoes you'll see. Also, spray when the forecast calls for no rain for a couple days so the chemicals can set.

I've had an invasion of fire ants on my ranch in SE Okla the last couple of months. I did some research on the web and watch a few videos on YouTube. I decided to give Bifen I/T a try and I'm glad I did. It has worked even better than expected on the fire ants. I used it today about sundown on a couple of very large red ant hills. I expect the sample results.

We recently had mosquito Joe and Mosquito Authority quote us $60/month to treat our yard for mosquitos. So I did some YouTube watching and learned about this product, this is the same product the professionals use. It took some reading and watching to figure out how to mix and apply, but it was easy. I mix 1 fluid ounce with 1 gallon of water in a pesticide pump container. We live in the city on 1/2 -1/3 acre. I use about 1.5 gallons to spray the back front and sides of the house every 25-30 days. I have also conciencies my neighbors to start using this product which gives us an even larger barrier around our house from Mosquitos. We still see mosquitos, but the volume is down ?. With a pregnant wife, it's important to keep mosquitoes away. Domyown.com gave me the knowledge and convidence to use poison on my own at a fraction of the cost the professionals would charge. $40 will last me 2 years.

Seems to be just as effective as Reclaim I/T- (which are both generic versions of 'Talstar') -keeps my house virtually bug free! But it does have a smell when it's being mixed- so be sure to wear a painter's mask or gas mask. It doesn't have a lingering smell, just be wary of the chemicals. Never had an issue with animals being around it- my pup doesn't seem bothered by it, but I keep him away from it in another room while it's wet. He's played around the grass and eaten plants that had been previously sprayed (but dried). Nothing happened thankfully. When I first moved into my dad's brand new house out of neglect he had gathered a population of earwigs, small roaches, spiders, springtails, and ants- now he has a super clean, bug-free home that we can both be comfortable in. This product definitely gives me peace of mind- and I don't wake up in the middle of the night startled by a roach or any other unwelcome guest. I use it with a chemically resistant spray bottle and it works just fine! I 'nuke' the house every 3 months, using a 1 oz concentration per 1 gallon for both the inside and outside of our home. Works very well for both. After 3-4 heavy rains outside it needs to be reapplied outdoors. It's almost thrilling how much control this gives you over having to hire an exterminator. You say when, where, and how! You can even help other relatives once you get the simple process down. Knocked off a star for the smell- really didn't like it. Reclaim I/T didn't have that smell, but at $50 per 16oz this is a better deal- we paid $50 for 1 GALLON!

This is our top product at the beach house. We simply mist the lawn and all deck and concrete areas and remain mosquito free...Our neighbors all meet at our house since we stay mosquito free....not to mention not a single bug anywhere in the house or lawn....and these are Texas tough mosquitos!!

This use to be best in the market chemical make up has been diminished and now it is worthless.

  Expert response:
Bifen has not changed in formulation but insects can develop resistance if they are exposed to it continuously over several years. It is recommended to rotate to a different insecticide every few years to prevent this, products such as Temprid FX or Demand CS are great to use.

I had a few Impatients in which the new leaves were deformed and the growth bud looked stunted. Search in Internet revealed that the cause is "Impatient mites", which are are too small to be visible with the naked eye. Based on forums and usage labels of many products, the impression I got was that pyrethrin family of insecticides would be effective, and among them Bifen would be a better one. Mind you, the newer miticides (after Kelthane was stopped) are too expensive for a home owner. So I ordered Bifen. I moved my Impatients from inside the house to the deck, and sprayed them four times at four day intervals -- from all sides including the underside of leaves.. The new growth is normal and the growth buds look healthy. For me, it has worked very well. A note about the bottle. It has a 1 oz side attachment for measurement. Hold the bottle upright and squeeze it to transfer the liquid into the small bottle. I think it is a great feature -- no need to dirty and clean measuring cup or spoon - DKS

Best insecticide that I have found for Japanese Beetles yet. It lasts sooo much longer than sevin, malathion, diazanon, neem oil ! All the others, the beetles were back the next day. I am beetle free after 2 weeks! This will be all I use from now on. Great price as well.

I had trouble with Crickets, Grasshoppers, Mosquitoes, Beetles, Ants, Spiders, Wasps & Hornets. I am waiting for the Box Elder Bugs. I sprayed all my plants around the foundation, window wells, doors and inside the garage doors. I was suprised to see it still working even after an 1 inch rain. Very pleased with the out come. I sprayed early in the morning before the light breeze came up and had good coverage.

I have been using Home Defense Concentrate by Ortho to spray around the exterior of my home for several years. Until then I was happy to use it until I found Bifen IT which is more concentrated and cheaper to use. Living in Florida we have many problems with bugs and it is a must to spray around your home. From now on, I will be buying Bifen IT from DoMyOwnPestControl - excellent company to do business with.

I was buying the Ortho-Max from local stores here and stumbled on this website and saw that Bifen is exactly the same chemical in concentrated form and probably 1/5th or 1/10th of the price I was paying! Already applied at my home and see the same result I saw with Ortho Max if not better. Plan to apply this every 3 months!

I am in the midst of the everglades in south Florida. This time of year, mosquitos rule, make life outside miserable. I used Bifen IT in a comercial fogger on 25 acres and have not seen 1 mosquito since I applied it 2 days ago. Longray fogger + Bifen IT = a solution that works.

I was so skeptical after trying all the hose-end insect control (mosquito) sprays for around the house/yard. However, we had a very wet spring and the mosquitos were horrible! Even just going out to get into the car I would get bit at least 3 times! After the first application which I think was about 50% lower than recommended due to my own mixing error, bugs were gone for 4 weeks!!! The neighbors yard, still terrible! I'm outside after 7pm mowing the lawn without bug spray on me and not getting a single bit while the neighbor is next door slapping away! She couldn't believe the difference from my yard to hers and I have way more landscape plantings (hostas, daylillies, shrubs) to harbor the pesky insects. After about 4 weeks, I started to get bit a few times, so I reapplied and no more bugs. Four weeks without bugs and letting the kids play on the swingset and playground in the backyard without getting welts from being bit is wonderful! I'll be buying this every season.

After spending more than $500 last year for a Mosquito Magnet that killed some bugs, but did not stop the mosquitos or midges, I tried Bifen IT this Spring and was finally able to enjoy my back yard and pool. This stuff works great, although we had to retreat after about 6 weeks, probably due to a 6 inch rainfall.

I have used Bifen IT for years. I have a bad fire ant problem and the Bifen IT keeps them under control. While you can't get rid of them you can keep them on the run even if it is to your neighbors yard. It is great for cock roaches and it it odorless so you don't have to leave home when you spray. I highly recommend it.

I've only used the product once, but it seemed to do the job well. My backyard was overrun with springtails. I sprayed the entire backyard and within a couple of days, no more bugs! And there is plenty of Bifen IT left for retreatment. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Bifen IT seems to work well. However, if you own a large lawn it doesn't work well with hose end sprayers. A pump sprayer is best. This product works quickly on lawn pests. Do My Own Pest Control has great customer service. I highly recommend them.

This is an outstanding product. I dispersed as directed and there are dead varmints everywhere. This stuff really works. Also, it arrived packed well and earlier than promised. This company believes in "under promise and over deliver".

I was treating fire ant hills everywhere in my yard with a powder treatment from Lowes. All it was doing was moving them around. I got Bifen IT and treated 1 mound as directed and it did not return. I have treated 2 other mounds in other locations and they are gone. It has been a week and no new mounds have popped up. Should of gotten Bifen IT years ago. GREAT STUFF !!!!

We have used this product once-a-month this Summer with our Stihl backpack. We have not had a mosquito problem in the front or back yard since using this product. I highly recommend Bifen IT for this type application.

watched a video online from a guy in texas fighting fire ants and he showed it worked for him, I ordered a quart and am very pleased with how well it works, about 10 seconds spraying down the tunnel and next day there dead...don't spray the mound just in the center about 10 seconds..

This product work below expectations. With the large amount of rain we have had this year in West Texas, the spring tails are alive and well. After using the Bifen I/T per the directions (twice) I can say that he spring tails are still alive and well. There is no accumulation of water or leaves or damp wood in my yard. I am totally disappointed in this product that was recommended by the staff.

I have used Bifen for years. I love the stuff. In AZ we had horrible problems with crickets and the Bifen all but silenced the nuisance pests. They would get in the walls and use the pockets to enhance the volume of their incessant chirping. Here in Alabama I have found an even better use for Bifen--to kill cockroaches. Evil little bugs that can get up to 3 inches long. They are disgusting and need to just go away. By spraying Bifen around doorjambs, window sills, and every little opening I come across has virtually eliminated the pests. We rarely run across live cockroaches anymore. The neat thing about Bifen is that once dry, a bug only has to walk through the dried poison and it dies in very short order. I'd rather not see cockroaches at all, but if it has to happen, I prefer them to be dead. Bifen guarantees that for me. Great stuff.

I very rarely write reviews but found myself amazed at how well this product works. After researching for the last 5 years trying to find something to control my spider problem on my boat dock I'm finally done. I would go down daily and knock down spider webs, have the droppings all over my pontoon boat I would have to clean, etc. Tried several products that were supposed to work and none did. I was about to spend a lot of $$ to get a mist system installed when I ran across this website and Bifen IT. In one day after treating my boat dock with this product my issues are gone. I'm now recommending it to everyone I see. Fabulous product, great service from the website - order and delivery. Customer for life!
