Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules require water by irrigation or rainfall in order to release the active ingredient. Without watering the granules, the application will be ineffective in eliminating insects targeted on the product label. If irrigation is difficult in some areas of the lawn, you would need to apply the before at least 1/2 inch rainfall is expected or by doing individual mound drench applications to directly treat the fire ants.
For mound drench applications, apply 1/2 cup of Bifen Granules to each mound then drench each mound with 1-2 gallons of water using a bucket (not a watering can) to deliver enough force to break open the top of the mound and allow the solution to flow into and throughout the fire ant tunnels. Treat a 4ft diameter around each mound.
Also, Bifen L/P Granules are not listed to control grubs or spiders. You could consider using the liquid concentrate Bifen IT to treat fire ants, spiders, Japanese beetles(adults), and many other insects around the exterior foundation of the home including the lawn, bushes, trees, shrubs, and landscape beds. Bifen IT is mixed with 0.5 to 1 fl oz per gallon of water and applied using a handpump or backpack sprayer. View the product label for more information.
For Grubs, please view our Grub Treatment Guide for product and treatment recommendations.

Unfortunately, we do not have the spreader settings for that specific combo, and since the manufacturer does not list that spreader on their bag we are unsure what the exact setting would be. Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, there isn't a master list that exists. You may want to try calling the manufacturer of your spreader or the chemical itself directly, to see if anyone on their staff has that info. Otherwise, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates. You can see a short video on how to accomplish this below .How to Calibrate your Spreader

For perimeter barrier applications we typically suggest using a liquid because it is more versatile.
