No, Bifen XTS will not harm chickens if used as directed. We would recommend removing the chickens out of the area while you are doing the treatment. Once the product has dried completely, it is safe for them to go back into the area.

Yes, Bifen XTS can be used to treat your entire lawn/turfgrass. Bifen XTS may be used as a broadcast treatment. To accomplish uniform control when applying to dense grass foliage, use volumes of up to 10 gallons per 1000 square feet. For low water volume usage, less than 2 gallons/1000 square feet, addition of a non-ionic or silicone based surfactant (0.25% v/v) is recommended, as is immediate irrigation of treated area with at least 0.25 inches of water following application to ensure efficacy of sub-surface pests including mole crickets. It is best to apply the product early in the morning or later in the evening, avoiding the higher temperatures of the afternoon hours.
Bifen XTS is not labeled to treat termites in a lawn or landscaped area. There will always be termites in your yard and there is not really much you can do about it. If you feel you need to treat you can use a product like Bayer Advanced Termite Killer Ready to Spread Granules to treat instead.
