    Would Bifen XTS be a good (residual) alternative to Bifen granules to rid of a springtail infestation?
    I've seen suggestions of Cyonara + Bifen Granules but I wonder if Bifen XTS alone would accomplish the same to rid of springtails.

    Bifen XTS is labeled for springtails. You will use 1/6 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This will be broadcast across the areas where springtails have been seen outdoors and around ornamentals. Using one insecticide is enough.

    Can you use Bifen XTS indoors?

    Bifen XTS is not labeled for indoor use. We do carry Bifen IT which contains the same active ingredient as the Bifen XTS but is a water based formula.

    What concentration of Bifen XTS should I use against bagworms?
    It is spring and hot here in Indiana all ready. I treated at the end of summer last year and I see allot less bags on the trees and plucking is not possible. I want to treat now and again in the middle of summer all most lost my pine trees, 700' of them.

    According to the Bifen XTS product label "Dilute 0.26 to 1.28 fl. oz. of Bifen XTS per 10 gallons of water and apply at the rate of 10 gallons per 4,356 square feet. One gallon of finish spray will treat 435 sq. ft." You will want to use the higher usage rate for a faster knockdown and a longer lasting residual.

    Bifen XTS is labeled to treat armyworms and safe to use on your bermudagrass and buffalograss.  To ensure that the best control of Armyworms, Cutworms, and Sod Webworms is achieved, postpone watering or mowing for 24 hours following application.

    Yes, Bifen XTS is labeled for armyworms. According to the product label, it is mixed at 0.07-0.15 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft when treating armyworms.

    I was told to spray BIFEN XTS on the trunks of my oaks to protect against bark borers that are moving into my Southern California area. I one spray this week.

    What's the typical shelf life for Bifen XTS? In other words, if I buy a gallon of it, how quickly will I need to use it?

    What is the best method for exterminating pine shoot borers?
    My trees are 25' tall. Every pine, Colorado, Austrian, spruce, etc has the same withered main shoot problem - 15+ trees. Trees growing out not up. I need to reach the tops. Renting equipment every couple weeks to cover new growth is too costly and I do not want to overuse, adding agents to the environment in a plume. Hose sprayers at this angle do not work properly, they should be level.

    When using Bifen XTS to eradicate pine shoot borers, you will use 6.4 to 12.8 fl. oz. per 100 gallons of water. If you are using a smaller amount, such as a gallon sprayer, you will use .06 fl. oz. per gallon of water. Treat the trunks and lower branches before adult emergence.

    Can Bifen XTS be used indoors on hardwood floors for flea control?
    Please help... I was told by our local farm and feed that I could use this indoors on hardwood floors for fleas. I did. What will happen? Do I need to clean it up any particular way, or can I? Is it safe for my family and pets to return to the home? Please help, panicking... thank you

    Bifen XTS is only labeled for indoor use in basements and crawl spaces for the treatment of subterranean termites.     Can Bifen XTS be used around lakes and ponds without harming fish?
    A

    Bifen XTS should not be applied within 25 ft from a lake/pond containing fish. It is extremely toxic to aquatic life. Do not apply when weather conditions favor drift from treated areas. Care should be used when spraying to avoid fish and reptile pets in/around ornamental ponds.

    How many oz. do I mix with one gallon of water for a 0.06% finished solution of Bifen XTS?
    A

    You can use the chart on Page 6 of the product label to determine how much Bifen XTS you need to make a 0.06% solution for your desired volume of water. For 1 gallon of solution, you will dilute 0.32 oz. to make a 0.06% solution.

    Will Bifen XTS kill oak beetles? If so, how do I apply.
    A

    Unfortunately, there is no easy solution when it comes to oak beetles. Infected trees should be cut down (before the newly hatched beetles fly out of the trees in the spring/summer) and the wood burned or chipped, while other still healthy trees should be sprayed annually to protect them. Because of the natural boring behavior of the beetle they are protected from topically applied insecticides and systemic insecticides (those injected into the tree or applied as a root drench) have proven ineffective for pine beetle infestations. Healthy trees can be protected before the beetles attack by topically spraying them with a synthetic pyrethroid like Bifen XTS.  The tree should be sprayed from the ground to 15 ft up the trunk to prevent future infestations. You should contact your local cooperative extension office to find out the best time to start spraying in your region.

    Will the CRA kill scorpions?
    A

    Bifen XTS is labeled to treat for Scorpions outside the perimeter of the home. Mix 1/6 fl oz -1/3 fl oz with 1 gallon of water, apply to a 10 foot wide band of soil andvegetation around and next to the structure, and treat the foundation of the structure to a height of 2 to 3 feet. Use a spray volume of 2 to 10 gallons of dilution per 1000 sq. ft. Trim back any bushes, shrubs or trees so they are touching the side of the house. This will limit the insects access to the house from ground only where they will come into contact with the active ingredient, Bifenthrin. 

    1 fluid oz = 2 tablespoons
