You can treat those areas with a residual insecticide like Bifen XTS. This product works great for wasps and you would need to treat them again about every 21 days to keep control of the wasps. It is also labeled for flying insects and you can spray those areas but will also need to treat any dense bushy areas in your property to keep the flying insects under control. It can not be applied to edibles so avoid those if you have any. If you need to treat any nest you can use Wasp Freeze Aerosol or Delta dust. You need to be very careful and use protective equipment if possible to avoid getting stung. It is best to treat it early in the morning or late in the evening.
