    Q
Your answers to many of the questions about killing grass is to look at the label. How without buying it?

    A

The Bonide Chickweed, Clover and Oxalis Killer is labeled for clovers in general but i cannot guarantee just off that description that it will control the specific type of clover you have. Q
I need to kill winter clover and chinch bugs. I have St. Augustine grass and I live in central FL.
    A
Bonide Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer RTU is not labeled to be applied on St. Augustine lawns. Talstar P is our best selling product for chinch bug control. The key is to use lots of water to carry the Talstar P down to the thatch layer underneath the grass, where the chinch bugs do the damage. Please read the product label for proper use instructions. Celsius is a great post-emergent control of clover and other listed weeds in St. Augustine lawns. Please click on the link to the product label for detailed information on mixing and application.

    Q
Should Bonide Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer RTU be applied to wet or dry grass? There is conflicting information between the product label and what is said on the website.
There is conflicting information between the product label and what is said on the website. The instructions on the product label state to wet the soil if dry so I irrigated for 10 minutes. Reading on the website, it states to apply to dry grass.
    A

We apologize for any confusion. The product label for Bonide Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer RTU specifies that, "If lawn needs watering, water thoroughly before application. Do not water for 48 hours after application." This is esssentially advising you to check if your lawn will need regular watering before you apply the herbicide because after you apply the herbicide, you need to wait at least 48 hours after that application before watering again. You would not want to apply any herbicide if the ground is completely saturated or the plants are dripping wet since this would prohibit even coverage and drying of the herbicide.
