    Q
Should I use Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate and copper fungicide spray together?
Is the complete fruit tree spray all I need?
    A

Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate is a liquid fruit tree spray concentrate containing insecticide, fungicide, aphicide, miticide, scalicide, and spreader sticker all in one solution. Usually you would not add another product to this one. If you did, it would be best to test a small area first for plant tolerance.

    Q
Will Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate treat scab on ornamental pear trees?
    A
Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate  is not labeled for use on Pear trees. Neem oil would be a good alternative as it is labeled for most fruit trees and for leaf spot. We recommend you contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the best time to apply products for leaf spot on pear trees in your region as timing will vary greatly from one region to another.

    Q
Why were my apple trees still bad and wormy after I sprayed Bonide Fruit Tree spray last year?
How can I make it right this year. I still have the concentrated spray. I have three small trees.
    A

Bonide Fuit Tree Spray Concentrate is labeled to treat for insects and diseases on apple trees. When doing a pest control treatment, of any kind, it's important to have a positive identification of the pest you want to treat for, it is a possibility you could be dealing with a pest that the product is not labeled for. Also, make sure to always follow the label instructions.

    Q
Can I use Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate for Western Grapeleaf Skeletonizers?
I need a reasonably inexpensive insecticide to kill Western Grapeleaf Skeletonizers. I want to nuke them. I do not care about the grapes - they won't be eaten. My only other stipulation is that I don't want to harm the plant.
    A

Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate is labeled for them and should do a good job.  EverGreen Pro 60-6 is another option for a fast knockdown kill.  Both are safe when used as directed on grapes.

  • Asked by Joe from Alfred, Me
    05/03/2018
    Q
Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate Application?
I just sprayed 20 apple trees with Bonide Fruit Tree Spray. I used a new sprayer with a 12 volt pump. My question is: I don't know if I cover EVERY bit of the tree. If I missed a spot (or area) does it affect only that area or does it affect the whole tree.
    A

Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate applications will only effect the areas it is applied to.  If insects contact a treated area and then more to an untreated area, as long as they spent enough time on the treated they will die.

Yes, you would have to dispose of the asparagus if it was oversprayed with the solution mixed of Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate. Also, according to the manufacturer, you shouldn't eat anything that was in the area oversprayed with this solution for a year.

  • Asked by Jason
    01/06/2019
    Q
How long after spraying Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate until I start to see the apple tree recover? How long will it take for the tree to make a good recovery after no treatment for 10 years?
I have apple maggots/ beetles in the wood and a variety of fungus on the apple tree branches. We moved to house and the fruit crop has been getting poorer. It is January and we have sprayed once and going to wait another month until we spray again.
    A

The Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate should be applied when the tree is not dormant and it is not cold out. It works best when it is actively growing and sprayed at green tip (1/2” blossom bud showing). You should wait 14 days at least between applications. Only two applications per season with this product. You can alternate with Bonide Citrus, Fruit and Nut Orchard Spray Concentrate .  In fact, it can be applied closer to harvest. Another great product that you should implement into your program is the Fruit Tree and Plant Guard Concentrate (this can be applied up to 5 times per season). The timing of recovery will vary depending on your location (climate, etc), insect activity, the treatment program and the health of the tree.
