  • Asked by Don from Olive Branch, Ms
    04/07/2020
    Q
Can Bonide Mancozeb Flowable with Zinc Concentrate be used on pecan trees? I've been reading that pecan trees need two.
Main things - Zinc and Nitrogen. Is this what I need?
    A

Bonide Mancozeb Flowable with Zinc Concentrate is a broad spectrum fungicide for use on a wide variety of ornamentals and vegetables. Controls diseases including leaf spot, downy mildew, blights, anthracnose, botrytis and others listed on the label. If you are looking for a fertilizer or nutrients for your pecan tree you might be looking for something like Hi-Yeild Zinc Sulfate or the Ferti-Lome Fruit, Citrus and Pecan Tree Food 19-10-5.

  • Asked by Robert from Hinckley, Ohio
    03/29/2020
    Q
The product instructions are very confusing. What is the dilution rate/gal for apple trees?
    A
The rate for Bonide Mancozeb Flowable with Zinc Concentrate is not set per gallon but per area. The mixing rate is 1 fl oz per gallon of water, and it can be used every 14 days as needed. You would apply in sufficient water to provide thorough coverage.  Typically 1 gallon can cover 1000 sqft but it could take more depending on equipment used and walking speed. The dilution rate of each product will depend on the type of plants you are treating and the specific disease, so be sure that you read each product label completely before mixing and applying this product.
