Effective on yellow sedge
By Snowcat14 on 08/05/2014
Killed most all the sedge with the first treatment. Applied amount as directed. I applied a second treatment recently to knock out any remaining sedge. Price is much more reasonable than SedgeHammer, especially when you need gallons of it. Also, only spray sedge with this when it is hot out. If it is not hot, it is not effective and you will waste your money. During spring or fall cool down one should apply RoundUp with a surfactant, in my opinion.

Tried this on recommendation of Mike Miller who is on KMOX radio in St. Louis. Very pleased on how well this product knocked down the sedge. Gave my neighbor a tank full of this product and he had equal results. I would recommend this product to people fighting the sedge which is particularly bad in St. Louis this year.

Effective Weed Killer for St Augustine grass.
By Jim on 03/05/2017
Sedge ender is an effective weed killer for both pre-emergent and existing weeds. It can be used on St Augustine grasses with some discoloration of grass which lasts for about 2 weeks. This is the 3rd year I have used it with positive results. Follow directions and apply a second application in 45 to 60 days after the first application.

The sedge war is being won
By Jason on 05/10/2017
Bonide Sedge Ender is doing its job on the first application in my Central Florida St. Augustine lawn. I plan to apply a second application in about 3-4 weeks to hopefully finish the deal. I finally see that the end is near for that pesky grassy weed! It's also hitting the last few patches of crabgrass that made it to germination after using Tenacity a couple of times at the end of last year.

Sedge Ender Concentrate
By Robert on 05/20/2017
I have sprayed the Nutsedge twice now in the last 3-4 weeks and not sure it is going to work. First application turned 90% of them brown, but they appeared to green back up. I sprayed again after 3 weeks and they are starting to turn brown. Will have to wait and see if it works

Not a good sedge killer
By Phong on 05/11/2017
I have sprayed my St Augustine yard with Sedge Ender at the recommended rate of 16oz for 4000 sq ft with very poor results : Crabgrass turned yellow for 1 week then grew back strong, also it had no effect on sedges. Very disappointing and tried a 2nd time after a month and having same bad results.

Excellent product!
By Tommy on 08/31/2018
Worked fast! The sedge was turning brown with in a few days and dead in a little over a week. This herbicide did not harm the newly seeded Bermuda, just the sedge and a few other weeds. As with most other herbicides tempeture must be warm enough for the product to be effective. Follow the label correctly and this should work great.

If you have a relatively small amount of sedge, Sedge Ender will do the job. It's just that in the concentration required for my yard I could only make about 4 gallons. But it is very effective and will kill sedge very quickly

Lethal to nutsedge, highly irritating to crabgrass
By Justsomeguy on 08/07/2020
I have a raised tulip bed that has been overrun with yellow nutsedge starting last summer, and a few plants popping up under my weeping cherry. Last summer I tried mesotrione, which only temporarily bleached the plants. I tried it again this year to no avail. I decided to try Sedge Ender and see how it does. I was not expecting results as fast as I got them. I sprayed this on both young and some very mature plants this past Sunday, August 2. Today is Friday August 7 and the young plants are basically shriveled into a pile of toast, and the mature plants are heavily browned and beginning to wilt. I will be very surprised if I have to give them a second spray this season, though I may have to hit them next spring if the tubers survive and send up leaves. As for the crabgrass, it was also quite mature, but still, there was noticeable injury within 36 hours. Injury level has increased somewhat throughout the week, but plant growth continues, albeit more slowly. The label suggests that a second application may be required after two weeks, and that appears to be correct. It's late enough in the season that seed has probably dropped from some of these plants so I'll have to test the pre-emergent factor next spring. So far there has been no injury to the tall fescue that the crabgrass grows in, which is a plus. Overall I am impressed and would recommend if you have circumstances like mine.

This stuff kills nutsedge!
By Alex on 07/08/2022
good product, will use again
By Bradford on 09/24/2021
Sedge Ender killed off the sedge I had consuming my yard. It worked very well, but took about 2 weeks to show results. I have tried several products in the past that did not work. The product is thick yellow and was difficult to use with hose end sprayer, I used a pump sprayer. Maybe there is a way to mix for hose end sprayer to thin it out, that would be great. Over all a good product.

Sedge sender works!
By Chuck on 07/13/2018
Purchased one bottle enough for 2 gallons. Mixed according to directions and was ready to be disappointed but this stuff is great. The nurse she was starting to take over our yard and Bonide Sedge ender stopped it in its tracks. The next day after applying I noticed the brown patches appear where I sprayed and now the weed is almost entirely gone. I'm going to order again to finish spraying where I ran out. Don't waste your money on anything else that states it kills nutsedge, because Bonide does it to this tough weed.

By Terry on 07/27/2023
My centipede lawn was being overtaken with yellow sedge. I mixed the concentrate at 4 oz. Per gallon in the pump sprayer and 48 hours later the seed heads and stems have turned brown. The other miscellaneous weeds are dying back also. Looks like a good product.

Worked Great for Me
By Craig on 10/06/2023
This Sedge Ender worked great on my lawn. I was getting so fed up with Nutsedge, clover, and other weeds popping up in my yard in between my regular lawn service schedules. I applied the recommended concentrate mixture through a pump sprayer to my backyard first to test its effectiveness on the weeds and it would not kill my tall fescue. The weeds started wilting and died off after a week and my lawn was never affected by the application. After my test, I told my neighbor about the weed killer and let him use it for a test application and it worked wonders in killing the broadleaf weeds in his yard. Now that I have a solution for the weeds, I can work on killing the Bermuda grass taking over areas of my tall fescue lawn.

Perhaps too specific targets
By Robert on 03/19/2021
I have an issue with a recurring batch of sedge. It is a constant fight every Spring. I applied this Bonide Sedge Ender as a pre emergence application and so far I have not noticed need growth. I also applied this to spot kill other weeds but it does not seem to effect them very well.
