Bonide Systemic Granules Work for me

While I did see an upsurge in the number of gnats right after applying the granules (presumably due to the thorough watering that's required to dissolve the granules) I haven't seen any larvae in my plants and I had a lot before, so once the adult gnats die, I expect to be rid of the problem.

Questionable Mealybug Control

Good service from Do My Own Pest Control. However, I applied the granules to houseplants that had evidence of mealybugs...infestation was caught early and wasn't overwhelming. Plants were washed, allowed to dry, sprayed topical insecticide AND applied Bonide Systemic Granules according to label directions. Within a week of the procedure, the little buggers are back on the same plants. Repeating treatment but if it doesn't work, I'd give a "zero" stars rating to Bonide systemic granules. Have used other brands of systemics with success.

Using Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control

I utilized the Bonide product two weeks ago for all my houseplants. WE had a house full of gnats from presumably one houseplant that had been given to me and was infested with the gnats! Then, of course, all the plants were soon infested with the gnats! I treated the plants per the product's instructions and have not seen a gnat in over a week! I was also impressed that I received free shipping; I received the product from Georgia in a matter of a few days-we live in Colorado! I will certainly order from your company again if needed. The tree is 4ft wide and 6.5ft tall. It is in 19 inches x 15 inches of soil. If I can use this, how much will it take to treat each time?
Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control can be used on potted plants, including houseplants if used as directed on the product label. Please find a rate chart on the product label for the amount of product per plant or container. For example, you will use 2.5 tsp of Bonide Systemic Insect Control Granules for a 4 inch houseplant.

I have a Brugmansia (angel's trumpet) growing in a 10 gallon container and it's getting eaten by cucumber beetles and something else, leaves and flowers are being destroyed, also the bottom leaves are starting to turn yellow no matter what I do, I suspect the beetles brought in some other disease, how much granules do I use for a 10 gallon container? the brugmansia is 45 inches tall from top of the soil to top of the plant.
Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control is applied at a rate of 1/3 cup to 2-gallon containers. For a 10-gallon container, you would need 1 and 2/3 cups. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.
I've had spider mites & other insects I cant identify, I've sprayed & sprayed with no control, now my plants are covered in clear worms, which I assume are nematodes. I've already lost 5 plant & can't loose more
The Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control are not specifically labeled for nematode control, but most broad spectrum insecticides can be used to control them. If spider mites and similar pests have been a consistent issue, a systemic root/soil treatment with these granules would help provide a more consistent form of protection and control on the plant through the year/growing season. If you are spraying only with things like neem oil and they are not working, you may need to take the plants outside and spray them with a residual insecticide such as Talstar that lasts for 30 days, in addition to the systemic treatment. Talstar should also help with nematodes for most situations. Neither of these products should be used on edible vegetation.

Your directions have dosage amounts for pot sizes from 1-gallon to 15-gallon pots. At present I need to dose smaller pots. These are house plants.
Since the manufacturer's product label doesn't list container sizes in inches, you would need to convert your sizes from gallons to inces in order to determine an appropriate rate of Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control. For example, a 1 gallon pot size is approximately 6 to 7 inches tall and wide, which would be a rate of 2.5 Tablespoons. For additional information on converted rates for your containers, you can do a general internet search for containered conversion charts, or you can reach Bonide directly by visiting their contact page at https://bonide.com/contact-us/.
When applying systemic granules, do I measure the diameter of the planter, the depth of the planter, or the overall volume??? I'm uncertain which measurements are needed of the pot to ensure I measure the correct amount of granules for the plant.

Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control should have no effect if you over applied but that would also depend on how much was overused. The granules do need to be mixed into the top 2 inches of the soil and then watered in.

Bonide Systemic Houseplant Insect Control is only labeled for use on houseplants.
I have a bougenvillia tree that has aphids and a ficus tree with scale. Neither of these look majorly infested. Both of them are kept indoors and I have had them for 40 years. Do you imagine that 1 systemic treatment would solve the problem or would I have do something else? They are too large and heavy to take outdoors.
I used the product as instructed: mixed it into the top soil of all my house plants, watered thoroughly, and left alone. Now, about a week later, I see tiny little gnat larvae crawling on the edge of my pots and in the soil. Do I treat again? Water? I am afraid to give the soil any extra moisture because that's how they thrive, and I don't want to kill my house plants. Thank you!
Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control can only be applied once every 8 weeks. If you are seeing some activity, they are coming in contact with the treated area and will eventually die. The product is working, it just takes some time.

For a 3 gallon container plant, you will use ½ cup of Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control.
Please refer to the chart on page 5 of the product label for more information.
Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control can be used outdoors to treat shrubs. Per the product label, you would need to apply evenly 1/2 cup per foot of plant height and water the application thoroughly.
