    Q
I have 3 potted Hibiscus trees and I can't get rid of the aphids that keep reappearing on the flower buds. I have sprayed them many times with Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control and they keep reappearing. Is there any thing I can put in the soil to prevent this?
    A

Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control is a granular product that is watered into the soil so roots uptake the product and it provides systemic insect control for numerous insects, including aphids.  It is not a product that is used as a foliar spray.

    Q
Can Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control be mixed with water and then applied?
    A

The Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control should be applied directly to the soil and then watered in, according to the product label. You should not try to dilute these granules and then apply them as a spray. The Bonide Systemic Insect Control concentrate is to be diluted with water and applied as a folar spray, however this product contains acephate and should not be used on houseplants or other containerized plants. We do sell Bayer Advanced Natria Insect, Disease, and Mite Control which is a ready-to-use spray that can be used on houseplants.

Can I use systemic granules on tomatoes?
    A
Bonide Systemic Granules are not labeled for use on anything edible.  We do have many products that are labeled for use on vegetables.  One of the most popular is Cyonara Lawn, Yard and Garden which has a convenient hose end applicator.  If you place the word "vegetables" in our search box on our website it will bring up other products that are also ok to apply to tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables.
