I have read good things about this product. The people at domyown are super helpful. I am painting the boracare on the beans in my barn. On some of the beams the termites actually come to the surface. I gave it 5 stars because it is super easy to use. I am hoping to save my 100 year old barn. Someone said to me that boracare is really expensive, but I think it would be more expensive to replace the barn!! Not only that we would lose a piece of Pennsylvania history. I love the old barns that dot the Pennsylvania country side.

Easy to mix. I used a paint brush for boracare. Liquid consistency even with 1 to 1 ratio. I used it for the attic and garage. Termite company never want you to use this because they will go out of business. I also saved a ton of money by doing it myself. Lots of work for me but well worth it to not have any dry wood termites anymore. Good preventive measure by using bora care. Customer service at domyown were A ++++. I called several times for help in using this. I am by no means a handy person. I can only do caulking and now painting boracare.

Domyown.com was terrific! The ordering process was easy, it arrived earlier than expected. A big name pest company wrote in their formal pest report that my home needed to be tented and gased. That not only I, but my tenants would need to be out of the house for 5 days! All this because I saw TWO, small holes with sawdust in my new hardwood floors. The pest company stated they would first spray Bora-Care in the basement, under the area of the, only two, posthole beetle holes. My son went under the house in the crawl space, saw no evidence of beetles, saw no sawdust. I decided to order Bora-Care and treat the areas myself. In reading about the product, it seemed fairly non-toxic. I purchased a glass eyedropper, mixed a few table spoons of Bora-Care as directed. I got down on my bedroom floor, carefully directed the Bora-Care into the 2 holes. Unbelievable...I saw the beetle start trying to climb up out of the hole! It didn't live long, I watched it die right there in the hole!! :). I killed it!! Needless to say I felt highly successful, but also mad the pest company would report I needed a $5000 tenting for the situation!! So far so good, haven't seen any other posthole beetle activity. Need to add, I am a 64 year old woman! Thank you DoMyOwn.com for providing the exact product the pest company was going to use!!!

This is the second time I have purchased from domyown and have nothing but positive feedback with my experience. I would also like to mention I called their tech help line and had a wonderful young lady help me by giving me advice on the use of the bora-care product. She went into great detail about product and what my expectations would be if used as instructed. This gave me the confidence I needed to treat the wood and install in my home. Great job!!! Bora Care was $15 cheaper on your site than Amazon and also had free delivery. Product arrived quickly. This stuff is amazing! We sprayed it on our deck and the carpenter bees won't land on it! We have a large deck and they were destroying it! The bees would hover over the wood for about a week but not land and now they don't even come near the deck. Bora Care saved our deck!

We bought the Bora Care product after extensive research on termite and carpenter ant eradication and prevention. Following the instructions, we sprayed in the entire attic before re-insulating. Both mixing and spraying was easy. Just as an FYI, product consistency is like honey and must be mixed well with an electric paddle. Also, there is a slight residue that takes a little longer to dry than anticipated. Product can be wiped off with a damp cloth if it gets on items or surfaces that you do not want to treat. So far, we are very happy with this product although on the pricey side.

For the past two years, my garden has been under attack by a wood eating fungus called poria. It has destroyed my wooden fence, my outdoor kitchen, a large outdoor deck, and recently I found it up against my stucco home! If it were not for Bora-Care, I probably would not have anything left!. It kills the fungus on the spot, but I still have to be very vigilent throughout the spring and summer as the fungus will continue to attack any area where there is moisture. Once poria attaches to wood it rots it almost immediately and it has to be replaced. Thank you Bora Care!

Works well better than any non commercial product you can buy at a Lowe's or HomeDepot. Just read instructions ensure you mix with WARM water

I think this stuff did the trick on our termite problem. Won't be sure until next year, but covers great. I mixed 1 to 1 and still have a half gallon left after applying generously with a paint brush. I am way more confident in my application of this product than I am in my termite exterminator company I pay annually.

We used Bora-Care on my backyard porch roof, it was my first time trying a pesticide like this and I went basically off of straight reviews. Let me tell you that I think it is a great pesticide. Maybe even what the major companies use. I say that cause it does exactly what the major companies pesticide does. But I haven't seen any more termite droppings where it was applied. And there is some major damaged 2x6's where it was applied. It's so that I purchased another gallon to apply on my tool shed. I will continue purchasing this product because it's very good and all the reviews are true. Thank you.

Had a bunch of oak lumber just full of powderpost beetles and wood wasps. Followed directions and did notice a few new frass piles after application. I assume the treatment was stressing the mature adults. But after drying seems fine. I will update down the road if i notice more exiting the wood, but pretty certain this will have done the trick.

Mixing was very simple. I dumped the contents of the bottle and dye in a 5 gallon bucket. I brought a gallon of water to almost boil on the stove. Then I dumped it in the 5 gallon bucket and used a mixer on my power drill. It instantly thinned out to the consistency of water. I poured the contents in my sprayer and treated the barn. Will know next year how it worked for my powder post beetle problem.

Ordered product one afternoon & received the next day. Very much appreciated in the fast processing & shipping. Since there are so many untrustworthy companies online, I verified, from the product manufacturer itself, that the product was legitimate. This uncertainty also came from a local company that told me the online companies sold 'Knock-Off' products. Also the local company'a product price was more than double. So I contacted the manufacturer & they confirmed that Do My Own sold their products. Do your homework! Do Your Own gave me guidance on the application process. Thanks

Used this product to treat for 1 active infestation and preventative throughout a 90+ year old house. Easy to mix with warm hot water. Easy to apply on bare dry wood. Great DIY product.
