When I couldn't get Terminix to commit to treating the powderpost beatles in my hardwood flooring, Boracare to the rescue. Given the fact that the flooring was glued to a concrete slab, it would have been both expensive and difficult to remove the infected pieces. I simply saturated the infected area with a 5 to 1 ratio mix, let stand for a few days and voila the little guys were dead. Thanks DoMyOwnPestControl.

This is my second order from do my own pest control, and i am certain not my last. shipping is fast and products are top notch as well as tips and instructions. i used this boracare to treat some powder post beetles in old barn wood - works like it should. had a buddy who treated his rough sawn barn framing and siding with it before he built the barn, now thats a smart idea if you have powder post beetles and carpenter bees like we do in our area.

We had hardwood termites on some of the large cedar posts on our porches. We applied BoraCare in August 2012 to all of them, following the instructions carefully. Used the entire gallon on 15 posts that are approximately 12'' in diameter. So far, no signs of termites and an added bonus: paper wasps stopped chewing on the wood!! Note that the overspray is extremely sticky but it dries perfectly on concrete.

Treating for old house beetles in the joist of my attic. I sprayed all the members after pulling insulation out of the way. The infected area is obvious from the noise being made and the fresh fras. Two weeks in and the beetles are still milling away. I hope the beetles soon find the Boracare. My wife is running out of patients with the annoying noise.

does soak in better that the timbor, but not a lot better considering the difference in price. Does dry with white residue on the wood. not as badly as Timbor, but still needs to be sanded before it can be stained. Nice product, and better than Timbor, but I an not convinced that it is 3 times better to justify the price.

Bora-Care is easy to pour. It is thick and gooey. It took about 1 minute of gentle stirring to mix the hot water with it. I applied it with a plastic bottle hand sprayer. It did drip a little so a drop cloth would be helpful.

We had a fairly bad infestation in 3600 SF of oak we have been air drying. We applied a 1:1 mix on both surfaces. After about a week we started seeing powder post beetle powder in a few places. We are going to give those locations another applications and see how well it workes.

Sprayed Boracare for powderpost beetle on July 8, 2014..Not working yet !!

Depending on the thickness and moisture content of the treated wood, Boracare may take up to several weeks to absorb fully into treated wood. Because of this action, there may still be beetle activity after Boracare has been applied. I can only comment on the application of this product since I just applied it. The stuff is like pure cornsyrup in consistency but actually is quite easy to use - definitley use HOT water to mix and use a painters aggitator and drill. Once mixed it is easily sprayed on the house but stays very sticky. Stain is easily applied over this once dry. Easy to clean up with water but stays sticky on wahtever is gets on.

I found my original post from August 2014 when I purchased Bora Care to treat powder post beetles in some log furniture I aquired. Note to self,I sprayed my furniture outside on my lawn, it killed my lawn,( but it came back eventually.) 2015 I noticed a few new holes, and one or two beetles, nothing like before however, so YEY!... Now, here were are again- almost in August, and I've found 3 beetles, and 9 new holes! UGGG.. So I'd say it worked for the most part, but not a complete fix. Definitely needs continued treatment.

Sprayed the cabin and the carpenter bees are gone! So are the dirt (mud) daubers and wasps that were getting underneath the metal roof. Very impressed!

After a complete coverage of our cabin and one followup in problem areas, the powder post beetles are still active. Not sure what to try next. The product did stop some of the activity but I would like to eliminate the pest.

these maggot termites had infested my wood in my laundry room of all places after cutting into the nest with a sawzall i sprayed them mounds of them kept accumulating under the area every day i repeated this spray,mound ,cleanup thing then i watched them crauling to a spot and started digging into this rotten peice on the floor there was a hole in the concrete where there was once a anchor i sprayed the hole and all of the wood and the termites instantly stopped appearing around my laundry room siding and studwork and shelves and no more termite maggots crawling across the floor all gone ez ez extermination the place was tented in 2013 but thats for a different termite

Incredibly easy to use but I would suggest adding the blue dye to make it easier to see what you have sprayed. I did not. The mixing wand for use with cordless drill was key. Super fast and efficient. I used this product as a preconstruction termiticide for the floor joists during a remodel and sprayed onto the adjoining concrete as well.

Low toxicity. Dry wood termites. I cut holes in my dry wall and found them. Vacuumed all their poop and removed insulation. Sprayed down all the wood. Also sprayed perimeter of house base and roof. Really happy with money I saved.

The 5 stars are for the ease of ordering and on time delivery. As well as the correct chemical being delivered in an appropriate container. For me this was a preventative buy. Doing a full re-model of my bathroom and wanted to treat the exposed wood before it got covered up again. Crossing fingers that when/if pests bite into the wood they go down.

This product came highly recommend by several individuals. Bora-Care was used to treat a fungus on wood pilings. I have tried other products, but Bora-Care has been the most effective.

I would recommend you read and follow instructions, works MUCH better with hot water, mix it up and use it soon thereafter. Do not let it sit for days, after use run some clean hot water through the sprayer and you will have no issues.

Boracare is a great product for treating old barn wood if you plan to use it in your home. Plus a great deterrent for ants and termites to spray around the outdoors of your home. Highly Recommend!

I was so pleased to purchase Bora-Care from DoMyOwn. They have an awesome information section on the site that helped answer any questions that I had regarding how much product I needed to purchase and how to apply it. Mixing and applying the Bora-Care was simple thanks to the instructions. I would definitely recommend this company and their product.

Bora Care was $15 cheaper on your site than Amazon and also had free delivery. Product arrived quickly. This stuff is amazing! We sprayed it on our deck and the carpenter bees won't land on it! We have a large deck and they were destroying it! The bees would hover over the wood for about a week but not land and now they don't even come near the deck. Bora Care saved our deck!

We bought the Bora Care product after extensive research on termite and carpenter ant eradication and prevention. Following the instructions, we sprayed in the entire attic before re-insulating. Both mixing and spraying was easy. Just as an FYI, product consistency is like honey and must be mixed well with an electric paddle. Also, there is a slight residue that takes a little longer to dry than anticipated. Product can be wiped off with a damp cloth if it gets on items or surfaces that you do not want to treat. So far, we are very happy with this product although on the pricey side.

Ordered product one afternoon & received the next day. Very much appreciated in the fast processing & shipping. Since there are so many untrustworthy companies online, I verified, from the product manufacturer itself, that the product was legitimate. This uncertainty also came from a local company that told me the online companies sold 'Knock-Off' products. Also the local company'a product price was more than double. So I contacted the manufacturer & they confirmed that Do My Own sold their products. Do your homework! Do Your Own gave me guidance on the application process. Thanks
