When the little termite guys decided to move into my construction site my husband and I wanted to find a DIY but safe method of evicting them. We purchased Boracare and within a day of spraying all of the trails went dead. No deadly to human chemicals needed, so needless to say we were very happy with the product! To add to that the customer service from DMyOPC is exemplary! Cheers and Thank You!

I use it on trim and flooring, and all wood going into my shop for furniture projects, applying it with a garden sprayer to the backs of the material that is set up on multiple sawhorses. I always use it, having seen a powder post beetle infestation that ruined an antique Italian furniture collection.

Excellent service. Boracare arrived quickly and with minimum packaging. Stuff works great and gets rid of almost every insect without using poison. If you buy this stuff locally, it costs twice as much as this online store.

It has been mixed and applied as prescribed. Only time will tell how effective it will be. The instructions were clear and the product was mixed and applied according to the printed instructions-no bad English usage or Chinese "word-twists". That is a good sign that the product WILL perform.

There were tiny holes in my ceiling sheetrock and little termite pellets falling and accumulating on the floor every day. I really didn't want to tent the house so I decided to research and try Boracare. After crawling around in my attic and trying to spray most of the wood, and especially the areas where I could see termite damage, the pellets have stopped falling. I was especially interested in this product because I read that the termites can't detect it and take it back to their friends, killing the whole lot somehow. So this makes me think/hope that even though I wasn't able to spray it everywhere, it will somehow end up getting them all.

We are glad that you've had success with your Boracare treatment! While the active ingredient in Boracare does have a fairly slow kill and will likely kill some of the other termites in a colony, it does not have labeling to indicate this transfer effect. We had termites on the plywood under our roof / ratio decking. We demo the roof /patio done to the plywood which was infected, remove the ply wood and re-enforce the 2 by 12's as necessary and brought the roof up to earthquake standards. Everything was sprayed. I also used the suggested sprayer and hot water and about a 3 to one ratio. Everything was as advertised, so far so good. I would suggest that a thin caulking with Borocare be invented as plywood never aligns perfectly and their are alway places to caulk. I will be purchasing my second gallon when we pull up the rest of the roof after the rains have turned to sunshine.

Thank you for your comments. Boracare can be applied with a paintbrush or roller in areas where it may be difficult to spray. This stuff is like cornsyrup but once it is diluted with hot water it is very easy to use. I have to brush it on overhead logs in my log home and I thought I was going to have a drippy, sticky mess. I was VERY surprised at how little it actually drips, goes on very easily and cleans up with water. I would recommend application with a brush or roller - a sprayer is much more messy ( I used that outside)

It was easy enough to use. I just followed the instructions, and sprayed it on the wall cavities, and on some old logs in a cabin. I will let you know in 10 years, how well it keeps back pests, and mold.

Adding blue tint makes this product so easy to use. You can see exactly where it's applied . We used the ratio 1 to 1 for extra penetration into joists . 1 gallon covered in crawl space of living room sized 16 x 16 with 1 gallon BoraCare with 1 gallon water and 1/2 cap of blue dye. We needed to spray as we are in a Very humid area and we encountered the very nasty white fungus .. So far it's working.

We had powder post beetles in our siding...and termites, which we didn't discover until we were treating for the beetles. In any case, Bora-Care took care of it all! Moreover, the service we received from DoMyOwnPestControl was excellent; I had ordered the wrong size of suit (for spraying) and they switched it out, no problem. Then they answered my questions thoroughly and immediately. Above all, they saved me thousands of dollars from having to be tented. Cannot say enough great stuff about the company nor the product...but EXCELLENT.

mixing and distributing through a pump spray was perfect....however i am still spraying in certain spots in a crawlspace.....and cannot determine as of yet, if termites are dead....this treatment is more for preventative and a cure...

I am very familiar with Bora-Care as I have used it on my log cabin to be rid of powder post beetles, and prevent future attacks. This purchase was for helping a friend who had gutted his old house for renovation. I recommended he treat his framing, rafters, and joists with Bora-Care and he agreed. The product is very viscous and must be mixed in a bucket before putting it in a sprayer. I used a cheap garden pump-sprayer. Bora-Care is easy to clean up with water and when dried, leaves a slight powdery residue on the wood. I recommend it.

We used the Boracare for powder post beetles & termites. We used it in a mister w/ a extra long extension cord to plug out side as our crawl space is not more than 3' for 1/2 of our house & 6' in the back 1/2. We took the advice of the sales lady from the company who told us to be sure to use an electric drill w/ a paddle to stir for 15 min. It worked perfectly & did the job. No clogging just be sure to wash your mister after using. C. Decker

It's been two weeks now since spraying on, mixed 1:1. Our home is mostly wood floors, walls and ceilings. Covered the floors, forgot about the windows, was a sticky mess to clean up, but oh well :-) Have not seen any teensy, eensy wood shavings on my counters or tables. This stuff kills and it's supposed to last for years. It took 4 gallons, sprayed on, to cover about 1800 square feet. Worth it! Saved us about $5000, according to the bug guy who came out. They would've had to tent the house! Shipping was FAST! Thank you guys, hope we never have those little critters that can lay dormant for over a year, again, but if so, we know who to buy from.

I have used this product before on clients logs. I mix it according to directions (1:1) and I hope it is all it is cracked up to be. I have not had any information from clients telling me of problems.

This stuff works well! It seems to be professional grade. I used it on my drywood termites to spot care around my home. I then dilluted it to spray completely around the foundation of my house, and so far, no more termite sightings. It takes care of them right through the wood!

I used boracare to spray my garage framing, worked really well with just a cheap home depot pump sprayer. I didnt have any probplem with insects but i did just preventive pest control because I was putting plywood on walls. Easy mixing with warm water makes this product no. 1 on , also cleaning part is easy just use water. Thank Boracare :D

Stuff pro's use for wood. Picture and mirror frames can contain powder post beetles. If you see sawdust buy this quick. Drops from termites in furnishings, same advice, this is very concentrated, dilute. If highly saturated it will leave residue, wipe off. Good service from company too.
