BorActin Insecticide Powder contains a blue dye for safety. Per the product label, BorActin should only be applied in cracks and crevices, and any excess dust should be wiped up. We would not advise to use this dust around light colored fabrics that may be affected by the dye. We also recommend applying dust with a hand duster to avoid contamination or over-dusting.
BorAction Insecticide Powder is not mixed with water. It is a powder insecticide that is applied to cracks and crevices only. If you are looking for an insecticide to spray as a barrier around the home, Cy-Kick CS would something you can use. We also carry EcoVia WD, a natural wettable dust insecticide that can be applied either as a dry dust or mixed with water and applied as a spray.
BorActin Insecticide Powder when applied per label will not harm pets. We highly recommend to contact the person that made the application to find out more details. Also, be sure to contact your physician and the Vet.
Per the manufacturers product label for the mop packets of the BorActin Insecticide Powder, as a mop solution: As a supplemental treatment, mix one cup of product per gallon of mop water. Make up only enough for current application and reapply as needed. Remove or brush any powder visible after treatment into cracks and crevices. After mopping, up to a quart of mop solution can be poured into each floor drain to control drain flies.

Per the product label on BorActin Insecticide Powder you would need to remove the birds from the area before any treatment can take place. Once they are removed you would apply the product at a rate of 1-2 lbs per 100 sq. ft over the the soil surface or over the old litter. Before re-introducing birds, apply fresh litter at least 4 inches deep to all floor areas. Powder should also be applied to wall voids, framing, and insulation of the house. Do not apply directly to manure piles or pits. For ongoing control, re-apply each time the house is cleaned or after each grow-out period,
BorActin Insecticide Powder can be swept up from hard surfaces or removed with a damp cloth. It is not deactivated when mixed with water as it can be used in a mop solution and would be effective again once dry.
