    Q
When a mouse ingests poison and dies, if your pet eats the mouse is it harmful to the pet?
    A
There a such a small amount of the active ingredient in Brigand SB - Soft Bait Rodenticide that the mouse ingests to kill them. A pet would have to eat many pounds of dead mice/rats in order to be affected by it. If there are signs that your pet has been affected by a poison, we would recommend that you contact your vet immediately.

    Q
Is Brigand SB - Soft Bait Rodenticide safe around children?
My apartment recently had pest control stop by and they informed me that this is what they used. I looked around and couldn't find where they placed it so it must be hidden but my baby crawls and explores everywhere. I'm afraid she'll find a "hidden" one and consume it. I'd like to know if this is a safe method around children.
    A

The Brigand SB - Soft Bait Rodenticide product label states that this bait should be placed in locations out of reach of children, pets or non-target animals. If you are unable to place this bait in locations where it cannot be accessed, the label mandates it be placed in a tamper-resistant bait station

    Q
If a mouse ingests Brigand SB Soft Bait Rodenticide and then dies, what if my domesticated cat eats it?
How much would an extra large dog need to eat for it to be harmful?
    A

The product label for Brigand SB Soft Bait Rodenticide states that this product should be placed in secured bait stations that are out of reach of children, pets or non-target animals. However, the amount of active ingredient that a mouse ingests is fairly minor, and your cat would have to eat a larger amount to be negatively impacted. Keep in mind that well-fed pets generally will not also eat wildlife they find outdoors.

If there are any signs that your pets have been affected by a poison, we strongly recommend that you contact your vet immediately. Although this product has been discontinued by the manufacturer, you may still wish to contact the manufacturer PelGar directly for specific product questions not addressed on the label at 610-849-1723, or via their website's contact page here.
