Can I apply Bonide Pyrethrin Garden Insect Spray directly on palm fronds with a cotton ball?

I take care of indoor plants. I have scale on some scale on my Kentia palm. I don't want to stay indoors and the palms are quite large to carry outside.

Answer:

If the plants are part of a larger interiorscape, and you can spray the plants, you could use the Bonide Pyrethrin Garden Insect Spray. However, if they are smaller plants, I would suggest something specific for this use, such as Monterey Houseplant Insect Spray. The Monterey product is ready to use, so you would not need to mix anything. You may also want to consider a systemic product for sucking insects like scale. Bonide Systemic Houseplant Insect Control is great for containerized plants.
