Can I apply Ronstar G for lawn bowling greens in Southern California?

Our Greens are Tiff-Bermuda 328. Mowed at 1/8th inch. We have poa and pearlwort. Is this product going to work to kill this weed? Also, is it safe for our grass. Long Beach Lawn Bowling Club

Answer:

According to the label for Ronstar G, this product is not permitted for use on poa annua in California. This product is also not for use on residential lawns. We would recommend using Corral 2.68G for pre-emergent control. It is labeled for both pearlwort and poa annua and is safe for use on bermudagrass. This product is applied with a spreader.
