Nancy from Hernando, Florida writes

Can Bayer Advance Disease Control work for Roses, Flowers & Shrub Concentrate be used to treat black fungus caused by aphids on Crepe Myrtles?

Answer:

While the Bayer Advanced Disease Control for Roses, Flowers & Shrubs Concentrate is labeled for many common diseases, it is not specifically labeled for the black sooty mold that is often caused by an aphid or scale infestation on crape myrtle trees. We suggest using a product that will treat the insects as well, such as the Bio Advanced 3-in-1 Insect Disease and Mite Control Concentrate.
