Bifen IT is labeled for Indian Meal Moths, however, we do not have a product that is labeled to be sprayed in the actual fireplace. You may spray outside edges and surfaces of the fireplace but not inside or in the chimney/flute areas. Moths are attracted to light sources, including fireplaces therefore it’s a common access point for them to enter the home. An easy way to eliminate Indian Meal Moths in a fireplace would be to simply light a standard to good size fire and let it the fire burn for atleast 20-30 minutes. Heat temps between 120-140 °F is hot enough to kill Indian meal moths. We would recommend reviewing the Indian Meal Moth Treatment Guide for alternative product recommendations and more helpful tips.
