Can Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS be used to treat squash bugs on watermelons that are 21 days out from harvesting?

Answer:

Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS is not labeled for use on watermelon therefore would not be recommended to use. PyGanic Gardening is labeled for use on watermelons and listed to target squash bugs and many other insects This is a pyrethrin insecticide that will only provide a contact kill and does not leave any residual. It can be applied up to the day of harvest and reapplied on an as needed basis. Since some plants may exhibit sensitivity when using this product in sunny areas, it is recommended to treat and observe a small number of plants for 10 days after treatment before treating a large number of plants for the first time. Refer to the product label for more informaton and application rates.
