Can Delta Dust be used inside a utility room that has a bees nest in it?

The room can be sealed off from the rest of the house. Do I need to wear a face mask when applying and cleaning up the area? How long do I need to leave the dust on before going in to clean up the room and the nest? Thank you for your help.

Answer:

Delta Dust is an excellent product choice for treating a bees nestIf the bees are in a utility room, there must be a vent or opening where the bees are going in and outThe key to treating the bees nest is to apply the dust where they fly in and outYou would want to apply early in the morning or late at night when the bees are not as activeGo up to the opening and just apply two quick puffs and walk awayWait a couple days for the bees to pick up the dust when they go through the opening and spread it around to the other bees in the nestYou should open the utility closet once you no longer see activity going in and out of the opening the bees were usingYou may have to dust twice to completely knock the whole colony outRepeat the same steps again if need beYou should wear a basic dust mask when cleaning only as a precaution.
