Can Demon WP Insecticide be used on a red oak tree open wound infested with carpenter ants?

Answer:

Demon WP is labeled for carpenter bees and can be used on trees. This product does leave a residue so be mindful of that. We generally recommend using Dominion 2L for carpenter ants in trees. This can be used directly on the tree or as a soil drench. Also, please check out our Carpenter Ant Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent carpenter ants.
