Can Dominion 2L Termiticide be used to spray support blocks to a firewood shed as well as the shed itself and the ground under and surrounding the shed?

I just built a four firewood sheds that will hold 5 cords of firewood. Each sit on concrete bricks about 3" off the ground. Can I spray Dominion 2L 1) the concrete slabs, 2) the firewood shed itself (about 1 foot above the slab and 3) spray on the ground around and under the shed? Other options you can suggest?

Answer:

Yes, Dominion 2L Termiticide can be used around the surrounding area and on outside of the sheds themselves. Apply at 0.3 to 0.6 fl oz per gallon of water. Additional recommendations termites and carpenter ants in the soil to provide a longer lasting residual in the soil would be the Trench Method and/or Soil Treatment where there is direct wood to soil contact. Trench treatment: Measure the linear footage around outside of foundation walls, around piers, interior supports in contact with the soil, plumbing, and utility services. Dig a 6 in x 6 in trench directly  against supports/slabs/walls that touch the soil and pour 4 gallons of mixed solution (0.6 fl oz per gallon of water) ever 10 linear feet into the trench. The trench method with Dominion lasts 3-5 years in the soil. Wood to Soil Treatment:  For protection of firewood or other wood products stored in contact with soil from carpenter ants and termites, treat soil prior to stacking with a 0.05 to 0.1% solution at 1 gallon per 10 square feet to prevent infestation. Do not spray firewood directly.
