I have green aphids all over my snow peapods that are ripe and ready to pick. Can I spray them with Bonide Eight and eat them the next day?
The Bonide Eight Insect Control Vegetable, Fruit and Flower is not labeled for use on peas of any kind so we cannot recommend you use the product on them at all or give a pre harvest interval. The best way to treat them and be able to harvest the next day would be to spray a product like Fertilome Triple Action on the peas to kill the aphids. If you want an alternative option for the future to the Bonide that can be used on snow peas and peas of other types, Sevin Concentrate would be a good option. The harvest intervals for peas on the Sevin Label are as follows: "Spray up to 1 day before harvesting on succulent shelled or edible-pod- ded peas or beans, and up to 21 days before harvesting for dried shelled peas or beans.
