Can Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench be used near herbs or vegetables?

I have a crepe myrtle with bark scale that I would like to use this product on. Within the same area (3 to 4 feet from the trunk of the tree), I have a German thyme bush - can I use this drench and still safely harvest thyme for cooking?

Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench should only be applied to outdoor trees and shrubs including listed fruit and nut trees: Apple, Loquat, Oriental Pear, Crabapple, Mayhaw Pear, Pecan, Quince.
