Can Gordons Trimec Classic Broadleaf Herbicide be applied as a spot treatment 2 weeks after a broadcast spray to kill Star of Bethlehem weed that is wilted from the 1st application?

Answer:

Gordons Trimec Classic Broadleaf Herbicide is not labeled to treat Star of Bethlehem however so we are not able to advise on a retreatment for that specific weed. Gordons Trimec IS however labeled for wild garlic which is similar so could be why you are seeing some wilting in the weed. Gordons Trimec has a maximum # of applications of 2 apps per year for broadcast applications and 2 apps per year for spot applications with 30 days between treatments. Retreating afte 2 weeks would not be recommended. A herbicide specifically labeled for Star of Bethlehem would be Speedzone EW Broadleaf Herbicide and is recommended to apply at the higher rate of 1.8 fl oz per gallon of water per 1000 sq ft.
