Can Hi-Yield Azalea, Camellia, Gardenia, Evergreen Fertilizer 4-8-8 be applied directly onto the plant if dissolved in a watering can first?

I have a lot of gardenias, azaleas and camellias.

Answer:

The  Hi-Yield Azalea, Camellia, Gardenia, Evergreen Fertilizer 4-8-8 should be incorporated into the planting hole for new plantings or watered directly into the soil around established plants. You cannot dissolve in a watering can and then pour it out since it is not completely water-soluble. You can view the full product label here.
