Can a little of MotherEarth D - Diatomaceous Earth be used in the laundry?

I have mites in the house that have resisted bug bombs and permethrin insecticide, can use some earth in the laundry and let them soaK,,, THEN RUN THROUGH a wash cycle to rinse out the diatoms
