Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to be painted onto tree trunks. You can dilute this product at a rate of 6 oz per gallon of water with a hand-pump or backpack sprayer and then spray around the perimeter of your home to control elm seed bugs. They suggest treating around your home for the best defense against this pest since the trees will already have populations too established for you to control with insecticides.
