Can Orthene 97 Spray Insecticide be sprayed directly on to roses and other flowering plants?

Is there an odor when spraying this product or provide any level of deterrent to bees?

Answer:

Yes, Orthene 97 Spray Insecticide can be used on flowering plants such as roses, chrysanthemus, daisies and many other flowering plants. Refer to page 14-15 on the product label for a full list of tolerant flowering plants and application rates.  This product is highly toxic to bees. Pollinators are encouraged to be protected when applying insecticides by avoiding any direct spray to blooms on flowering plants and to avoid applications when bees are active in the area.
