I rent my apartment and do not own my own washing machine or dryer. I am afraid to wear most of my clothing because of a bedbug infestation in my bedroom. I read about the application where household item and stuffed animals can be bagged for 2-4 weeks. I read under the first aid measure instructions for skin irritants that exposed clothing should be washed before reuse. Given the a fore mentioned information, I was wondering if I can bag the items with the strips then wash the items?
You can bag clothes with a nuvan strip and then wear them once washed, that is not a problem. However, it is worth mentioning that even without placing your clothes in a bag with a nuvan stip for 2 to 4 weeks, anything that will go in a dryer for about 15 minutes on even low heat will kill all stages of bed bugs instantly. So if you are going to wash them anyways and you didn't want to wait for 2 weeks before wearing something, you could wash and dry it and be assured there were no bed bugs when it came out of the dryer.
