Should they be applied separately and if so, how far apart? Northeast Ohio.
While the Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) and Triplet SF should have no tank mixing compatibility issues (you should do a jar mix test first to be sure) you would normally not apply these products at the same time. Prodiamine needs to be watered in after application as you are trying to get the ingredient to the soil and create a wall-like barrier to prevent weed seeds from emerging. With a post emergent like Triple SF, you do not want rain or irrigation for at least 24 hours after an application, and you use less water volume during a post emergent treatment than you would a pre emergent application, as you do not want it to wash from the leaf surface but rather stay on the plant where you applied it to be asborbed. To not over stress the lawn it is often advised to wait 2-3 days or up to a week between treatments.
