I have a lipstick plant infested with whiteflies. I've treated it with the indoor plant systemic. It's pretty spindly and I'd like to prune it back and root the cuttings. So should I wait a certain amount of time for the granules to work to kill the whiteflies and larvae, or can I put granules in with the rooting water?
Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control is insoluble in water and per the label, it needs to be applied and mixed thoroughly into the top layer of the soil. Once applied to the soil and watered in, it needs time to get to work as it's making its way through the plant. This will not work by putting the granules into water with your cuttings.
