If the granule rates for both the Scotts STEP 3 Lawn Food With 2% Iron and the Crabgrass & Weed Killer Granule you are using are the same per 1000 sq ft, then applying at the same time shouldn’t be an issue. Otherwise 2 separate applications will need to be applied. If the lawn is under any stress from heat, drought, heavy rain or disease – then we would recommend waiting 7 days between the applications.
