Can someone verify .5 oz per gallon of Trimec Southern Broadleaf Herbicide for St Augustine?

Label doesn't say how much water, only .5oz per 1000 sq. This is Palmetto St Augustine.

Answer:

The water volume you use when applying the Trimec Southern Broadleaf Herbicide, or any other product that gives you an amount per 1000 sq/ft on the product label, will vary from person to person and application to application. The water is merely the carrier to get the amount of chemical evenly distributed over the desired amount of treatment area.  In order to know how much water to use we advise you measure out a 20 x 50 or1000 sq ft area and spray it with just water. When you are finished, look to see how much water it took you to cover 1,000 sq. ft.  Typically it should be somewhere between 1-2 gallons and this is the amount of water you will mix with your .5 oz of Trimec Southern Broadleaf Herbicide to cover 1,000 sq. ft.
