Can I spray Delta dust on and in the crevices on ceiling lights/smoke detectors?

Carpet beetles are coming down out of our light fixtures, smoke detectors and bathroom fans. Is there a danger to spraying delta dust on/around these items? Is it dangerous to spray in the ceiling crevices because of gravity bringing the dust back down on us?

Answer:

Yes, Delta Dust Insecticide would be an effective way to treat that area of the wall/ceiling where there is activity. Repeat treatments may be required. Using a B&G Bulb Duster, thoroughly dust the location of the insect activity, the remaining surrounding areas like your light fixtures and smoke detectors, and any entrance points and surrounding areas where you notice activity.
