Can Suspend SC Insecticide be sprayed on house plants to treat for gnats? Will it harm the plants?

Answer:

Suspend SC can be used to treat for gnats on houseplants at the mix rate of  0.25 fl oz to 1.5 fl oz per gallon of water howefver the plants should be moved outdoors prior to spraying and allowed to completely dry before bringing them back indoors. Do not spray houseplants indoors.

When spraying the plants, treat all top and bottom surfaces of the leaves, branches and stems till wet but not dripping. Replace any saturated potted soil if needed or allow the soil to dry out will also cut down on the infestation. Suspend SC is labeled many common household insects and commonly used as a general purpose insecticide treatment indoors when applied along baseboards, around windows, doors, walls, ceilings, corners, and other areas where gnats and other insects have been seen congregating or resting.  View the full product label for more information.  A systemic granule product like Bonide Systemic Insecticide Granules can be use on the soil for fungus gnat larvae as well.
