The Anderson's 5-5-25 Fertilizer with Barricade Herbicide will only prevent weeds from germinating therefore needs to be applied prior to weeds actively growing. Timing can vary from region to region so consulting with your Master Gardener at the County Extension Office is recommended for exact timing recommendations in your area. You may apply this product in a single application or in sequential applications to control weeds germinating throughout the year as long as you do not exceed the maximum rate per calendar year for your turfgrass.
