Bob from Visalia, Ca writes

Can Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide be used with a surfactant? I have read that a surfactant can be used and that a surfactant should not be used. .

Answer:

No, a non ionic surfactant is NOT recommended to be used with Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide. The manufacturer advises that surfactants when combined with this product can damage the leaf tissue of turfgrass. Per the product label, Do not use adjuvants and spray additive tank-mix combinations, unless your experience indicates that the tank mixture will not result in turf injury. If any discoloration or cosmetic effects are objectional  or would be unacceptable then the use of a surfactant would not be recommended.
