Can I use Acephate 97UP as a soil drench for control of spider mites on 25' tall itallian cypress?

Is this effective and if so I need to know the application for such?

Answer:

Acephate 97UP Insecticide is not labeled to treat for spider mites so would not be recommended.  We are unaware of any systemic product that is labeled for use for spider mite control. Instead we would recommend a foliage spray product such as Talstar P, which is labeled for use on ornamental plants and is also labeled for spider mites.
