I have an infestation of crape myrtle scale on my flowering trees. The scale have hardened I believe. A tree farm recommends using this product
Discus L Insecticide would not be the appropriate product for your needs. It is not for use anywhere other than commercial greenhouses and nurseries, and is only labeled for suppression of armored scale rather than control. A more appropriate product for your treatment area and needs would be Safari 20SG which can be used as a systemic drench and basal bark spray to control any armored scale on the crepe myrtles. Armored scale is a lot trickier to treat for and many systemic products that contain imidacloprid like the Discus L will only provide partial control at best.
