While Hi-Yield Lawn, Garden, Pet and Livestock Insect Control is labeled for fire ants and for use on blueberries it does not specifically list ants as a targeted pest when spraying blueberries. A better option would be Ferti-Lome Come and Get It! Fire Ant Killer. It uses the naturally occurring active ingredient Spinosad to control fire ants in your lawn, and in and around your plants. This product can be used in lawns and other turfgrass areas; recreational areas, including golf courses, parks, playgrounds, and playing fields; ornamentals growing outdoors; tree nuts, citrus, stone fruit, tree fruit, and vegetables. The bait granules are taken back to the colony to be fed to other ants. You will begin to see results from Ferti-Lome Come and Get It! Fire Ant Killer within 12-24 hours with full colony control in 3-14 days.
