I've had my house professionally treated 3 time, but continue to see activity in my bedroom. I'm going to purchase the do it yourself kit, and know nuvan should only be used in enclosed areas. Seeing how effective it is, I'm hoping I can enclose and seal my mattress in a plastice bag for 2 weeks.
As long as the plastic covering the mattress is loose enough to allow the vapor to move around inside you could use the Nuvan strips to treat it. Most folks choose to use the Protecta Mattress Encasements for their mattress and box springs as they will seal any bed bugs inside where they will eventually die and they also make future inspections much easier by blocking all of the small crevices in mattresses and box springs where bedbugs would usually try to hide.
