Dave from Chandler, Az writes

Can I use Permethrin SFR 36.8% for leaf-footed bugs on pomegranate trees?

If so, how much per gallon of water?

Answer:

Permethrin SFR 36.8% should not be applied to pomegranate trees. You can use Monterey Fruit Tree and Vegetable Systemic instead. According to the label for the Fruit Tree and Vegetable Systemic, when treating for leafy bugs on pomegranate trees, you cannot make more than one application per year and do not apply until the trees have flowered or when bees are actively foraging. The mixing ratio is 1.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water. You need to stay within 3 feet of the dripline when pouring around the base of the tree. This needs to be poured evenly around the tree.
