Sod has been down for 30 days and appears to be rooted and growing. It has not been mowed or fertilized. Please advise if safe to use this product on the new sod and in 85-90 deg heat.
SedgeHammer Herbicide can be applied to well established zoysiagrass after the turf has developed a good root system and uniform throughout. This is typically after 30 days or the 2nd or 3rd mowing. Apply when ait temperatures are between 65-85 degrees to prevent injury to desirable turfgrass. During the summer months, it is recommended to spray in early morning or late afternoon/early evening during the coolest time of the day.
