Talstar XTRA Granules can be applied once every 2-4 months for insect control on zoysiagrass for the eradication of chinch bugs, billbugs and sod webworms. Per the product label, billbug and over-wintered chinch bugs should be treated early spring but it is recommended that you consult with your local extension office for specific timing in your region. The Talstar XTRA granules should be watered in after the broadcast application and at least 0.25 inch for chinch bug control in the summer to control the nymphs and adults.
