Can I use this for a rat burrow under our HVAC unit outside (on top of a concrete slab)?

One review said these "burn hot", can they start a fire if there are dry leaves around?

Answer:

We would not recommend using the Giant Destryoer under the HVAC unit. We recommend placing Contrac Pellets directly into the burrow. In the end you will have the same effect without the worry of the gasses going into the house.
