Can you Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate be used in a fly system in a horse barn to treat for mites. put this in a fly system in a horse barn?

Answer:

Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is not labeled for use in misting systems.  For a misting system, we suggest Martins Permethrin 10% plus Martins SynerPRO Syngergist for a 55-gallon drum. For light to moderate infestations, use ½ gallon Martins Permethrin 10% with 7 fl oz Martins SynerPro Synergist in a 55-gallon drum. For heavy infestations or difficult pests, use 1 gallon Martins 10% Permethrin with 16 fl oz Martins SynerPRO in 55 gallon drum.  Treating the horses directly with a Martins Permethrin 36.8% would be recommended to protect the animals against horn flies, face flies, stable flies, house flies, horse flies, black flies, eye gnats, mange mites, scabies mites, ticks, lice, and fleas. Mix rate is 0.25 fl oz per 16 fl oz of water and applied at 1-2 fl. oz. spray per animal. Spot treat back, face, legs, tail and ears. Please refer to the product label and consult with your veterinarian before treating.
