Can you tell if woods been treated with Timbor?

I'm deciding between letting a company spray with the timber or do it myself. Is there anyway to tell if the company did a good job. Residue?

Yes, Tim-bor Professional will leave a white residue once applied. However, it can be easily removed if needed.
